No, the standard checking account has no monthly service charges and does not require a minimum balance to stay open. 

 

 

Can I access my money nationwide if I travel or move outside Colorado?

Yes! On Tap participates in the CO-OP Shared Branch network and offers access to a nationwide surcharge-free ATM network, so you can use your account across the U.S.

 

 

What digital banking features are included?

Your account includes free online and mobile banking, e-statements, mobile check deposit, bill pay, transaction alerts, and 24/7 account monitoring. That makes managing your money convenient from anywhere.

 

 

Are there ATM or debit-card fees with On Tap checking?

You receive a free Visa® debit card. Using CO-OP network ATMs is free (no surcharge from On Tap).

 

 

Can teens or youth open a checking account?

Yes! On Tap provides youth/teen checking accounts that include the same benefits as regular checking, supporting early financial education and safe banking for younger members. 

 

 

Do I need to be a member to get a checking account?

Yes. Since On Tap is a credit union, membership is required to open a checking account. Membership requires a small share deposit of $5 and qualifying affiliation or residency. Your share deposit is not a fee, it remains on hold in your account for the duration of your membership and you would receive the $5 back if you ever choose to close your account.
